Paper Airplane Contest, Spring 2005

Paper Airplance Contest

On Wednesday, March 2nd of the year 2005, Design Guild held the first known Paper Airplane Contest in recent memory, at the scenic venue of Termann Pond. The competitors began arriving at noon, flaunting any need for food or attending class. Soon, the flying would begin.

12:15 sharp marked the start of the building phase of the competition, triggering a flurry of paper airplane making activity. Brilliant idea after brilliant idea was conceived and folded; paper, tape, and paper clips were turned into verifiable works of art. Flight of the prototypes was met with both jaw-dropping astonishment and head-turning tragedy.

Finally, at 12:45, the the trials began. Contestants lined up, threw, and the planes flew. When the dust finally settled it was clear that there were winning designs and not so winning designs. However, everyone went home with gift certificates so all went well in the universe.
